Frequently asked questions

When does GenerationsMD open?
We plan to open in 2027. Join the waitlist and you'll be first to know when scheduling goes live.
Do you see children?
Not yet. During our initial phase we are adult primary care only (ages 18+). A pediatric phase may join later.
What insurance do you accept?
We're credentialing with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ as our priority, with more carriers to follow. Self-pay options will always be available. See our insurance page for updates.
How do I become a patient?
Join the waitlist via our appointments page. When scheduling opens, waitlist members get first access to new-patient visits.
Is this a concierge / membership practice?
We're an insurance-based practice with self-pay options — no memberships, no concierge fees. Our commitment: transparent pricing and accessible, high-quality primary care.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, a list of all current medications (including doses), and any recent medical records or test results. If you're transferring from another practice, we'll help you request your records.
Do you do telemedicine?
Telemedicine options for appropriate visit types will be available. Details will be announced before opening.
How long are appointments?
New-patient visits are 45–60 minutes. Follow-ups are typically 20–30 minutes — significantly longer than the industry average. We don't overbook or rush.
How do I reach the practice between visits?
Through our secure patient portal — for refills, lab results, and non-urgent questions. Every message is read by our support team.
What if I need a specialist?
We coordinate referrals to trusted specialists in the Princeton area and stay involved in your care — reviewing specialist notes, reconciling recommendations, and keeping your full picture in view.
